Astrid

The Astrid side table, features a dark parchment finish. The body of the table is a globe made up of twenty-four segments. This globe is supported by a coved, faceted base. The table’s top features a starburt pattern radiating from its center surrounded by a small profiled apron. Each of the individual parts that make up these shapes are carefully wrapped in goat skin parchment before being assembled. In this case the parchment has been dyed a rich black. Dying the parchment enhances the differing shades within the skin lending more contrast and texture to the piece.
